Q : How do I convert my old data base?

Ans : Normally, every data base has Import Export facility. Please select the export facility of the old database and use Comma Separated Value (CSV) style in ASCII set. The file will be made with your old data. This file can be imported in Bliss by selecting the option of Database Import.

If the file can not be exported as CSV style, then one will need to convert it in some other application like Microsoft Excel&trade

Q : TAPI controls do not work on my modem, why?

Ans : It is possible that your modem does not have the voice capability. We recommend that you can check the same before purchasing the Bliss pack. One can download the program from our website. This is a free testing program.

Q : My Modem has a mark that it is Voice Modem but why Bliss shows as Poor?

Ans : This will happen if you have not loaded the proper drivers for the modem. If you have selected the general drivers like standard 56K modem in Windows settings then this problem will occur. Please load correct modem drivers.

Q : Why I am not getting Text Mode Printing?

Ans : One would need to install the 'Generic' printer driver in Windows system. Please load the same.

Q : How do I get POSTGRES as my data base?

Ans : By default POSTGRES can not be connected through Windows. One needs to install the ODBC drivers for the same. One can find these drivers on Linux site. These drivers are also included in the Bliss CD. Please run this programme and test the ODBC connectivity before selecting the Bliss for POSTGRES.

Q : Can I reload the Bliss?

Ans : Legally one has purchased only one copy hence if one reloads the Bliss, it works in demo mode. In demo mode all the functions are allowed only 10 records will be added. If one needs to change the machine, Please run Uninstall programme from Bliss CD. Note that while uninstalling, one will need a net connectivity. Connect to net and then run uninstall. An uninstalled copy can be installed again.

Q : I have changed the BIOS of my computer and Bliss shows 'un-authorised copy' Why?

Ans : Before changing the BIOS or the hard disk of your computer, you must un-install Bliss.

Q : Why am I not getting Caller Identification?

Ans : Caller Identification needs to be activated from your exchange. Also not all exchanges support this feature. Consult your local telephone authority.

Q : I am having a problem to work with SMS Mail Merge or Pager Mail Merge?

Ans : You need to enter the service centre number and username with password. You will need to contact the service provider.

Q : My Hard Disk has crashed. Bliss is not reloading. What should I do?

Ans : Kindly contact the office.

Q : Bliss shows error in COM port. What should I do?

Ans : Many a times a serial port like COM1 and COM2 are shared by other application. E.g. Fax Drivers. They are automatically made "ON" by windows setting. Under this condition, Bliss can not access the serial port. You will need to keep the serial port connected to modem free for Bliss. You can look at the task bar to see if there is any programme using the port. To disable these settings at power ON, follow the steps.

Start -> Run -> msconfig.exe -> OK -> Tab on setup

Q : How Can I print Address Labels?

Ans : Start Paper Mail Merge and select the address components and 'Print'

Q : While installing Bliss, I get an error msadox.dll not found or in-correct. What should I do?

Ans : This is the dll error message. This is because some previously loaded programme has changed Windows dll file. Kindly ignore this error and proceed with the installation

Q : I have modem which works fine but shows "poor" for all fields while using Bliss. What should I do?

Ans : Click on 'Start' then 'control panel' and then on Modem. Please check the drivers. If it is standard drivers, then this error will occur. To utilise the modem for all the functions one needs to install the correct drivers. Installing Standard Modem drivers will now work for all the telephone protocols.

Q : Special Customisation of Bliss, Can we ask for it?

Ans : Normally, a box pack software is not the same as tailor made software. We can undertake the job for converting the Bliss into a tailor made software. But this conversion will be on charged basis. The cost will be dependent on development time basis. Once the development is done, any copies sold to the same customer will not be charged extra.

Q : I have purchased Bliss and now I want to return it as I don't want to use it.

Ans : Once the item is purchased, it can not be returned. Please check the End User Agreement. We recommend that you first use the evaluation software and purchase only when you are satisfied with evaluation copy.
